Paul Baker

Paul has lived and worked from his workshop/studio at Crag Lake since 1988. He has always been a “builder of things” - from small boats, to buildings, to canvas boat tops and awnings, to welded stainless steel and aluminum fittings or fastenings.

Paul's interests have been diverted to include making creative sculpture out of found objects, focusing on the form and movement within each subject. His eye for detail enhances much of his work, with subtle offerings gracing many of the parts used in creating the finished piece. Seeking new approaches and willing to experiment, he pushes any perceived limits as far as he can, often learning from his mistakes. The knowledge he gains is reflected in each new endeavor.
