In this no-experience-required class, students will learn the basics of nerikomi and use coloured clay to create fun patterned ceramic pieces.

We will go over what nerikomi is and how to colour clay, then jump into how simple patterns like stripes, checkerboards, and flowers are made and manipulated to create new and different designs. Using these pattern blocks students will learn how to assemble a patterned slab and use this to create small handbuilt dishes.
