
Teen Acrylic Painting with Katherine LeBlanc
This class is geared towards teens just starting out with acrylic paint or teens looking for fresh inspiration in regards to material and process. Katherine will lead students on an exploration of multiple acrylic painting techniques with emphasis on colour, composition and experimentation. The class will examine approaches from different artists both local and international, and work on various projects over the 4 days.

Arts Underground and Wonderhorse Emerging Arts & Music Festival are teaming up to offer this free workshop.
Join visiting visual artist Wayne Garrett for a build your own photo Kaleidoscope workshop. Participants will provided with materials and be guided through the process of making their own unique Kaleidoscopes. Once built, the workshop will move outside where participants can take photos and videos of their surroundings through their Kaleidoscopes. Throughout the workshop, there will be discussions about perspective, light, optics, composition, and ways of seeing. Participants will take home their own unique Kaleidoscopes that they created.

Youth Workshop: Printing Valentine’s Cards
Tired of store-bought cards? Sign up for this after school workshop to create your own! Bring a fruit or vegetable (not a potato!) from home to learn the learn basics of printmaking. You will design and create cards, using printmaking tools and techniques. The materials we will use are easily found at home, so you can keep creating on your own time. Each person will take home the printing block they create, and several completed cards.
