This three session workshop is an opportunity for intermediate pottery students to learn the tricks of making a teapot, as well as advance their throwing skills. Instruction will cover the requirements and aesthetics of conventional teapots, but will also delve into throwing larger forms, different lid and gallery options, and making and assembling the pieces into a functional teapot. Larry will spend time each class demonstrating intermediate throwing skills and techniques and assisting students to hone these skills. It is recommended that independent time be dedicated to practice between classes, so Larry can help the student overcome any issues in the following session. This will ensure the student gets the full benefit of the workshop and time with Larry.

Please note this class does not include glazing; its focus is on throwing and assembly. Students must be able to consistently throw more complex forms on the wheel, as all skills explored in this workshop will be at an intermediate level.
