Join us at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to learn how to draw animals in the wild. We will be walking the entirety of the 5km loop, and dependent on the visibility of our models, will stop to draw and learn how to accurately represent something that almost never sits still! Topics will include understanding anatomy, how to use proportion to create identifiable body shapes, simplification of forms, foreshortening, and textural mark making for textures such as horns and fur. Students should bring their collapsible seating such as a camping chair or folding stool, a sketchbook (bigger the better!) and drawing implements which should include a pencil and eraser. Wear good shoes, bring water and snacks, and layer appropriately for the weather.

Please note: the entrance fee to the Wildlife Preserve is not included and will need to be paid by participant at the entrance gate.

In case of rain: Saturday June 28, 1-4pm
