The "emerald anniversary" refers to the 55th anniversary, with emeralds being the traditional gift for this milestone. Emeralds are believed to represent renewal, growth, and prosperity.
In 2025, the Yukon Art Society is celebrating its 55th anniversary, as well as the 20th anniversary of Arts Underground. For this special celebration exhibition, Yukon Art Society Members were invited to submit works that they felt best represented their artistic practice, or are proud of.
